One of the treasures of Saint James Church is our Altar and Rosary Society. Formed in 1937, The primary purpose and goal of the Altar and the Rosary Society is to praise and honor the blessed Mother, to secure her patronage by recitation of the Rosary and for the mutual spiritual benefit of all members (throughout the world). Entrusted with the care of the altar, our duty is to provide and maintain a suitable dwelling place for Our Lord Jesus Christ by supplying the altar with altar bread, wine, linens, candles, incense, music books, etc. The Altar and Rosary Society is both spiritual and social and acts as a fund raiser (card party), Serves and sets up luncheons after parish funerals and assists at special parish events.
All Ladies of the parish are encouraged to join. We are always in search of new members. Men are also welcome. If you are interested in joining our ranks, contact the parish office.
